Save lives this summer and join the Red Cross Racing team at Birmingham's biggest single day blood drive!
The summer is generally associated with vacation, recreation and relaxation. But for those who find themselves in need of blood due to accidents, natural disasters or the need for surgery, summer can also be a time of uncertainty, as blood stocks are generally low during the season in which they are most needed.
That's why this summer's Birmingham's Biggest Blood Drive, scheduled for Wednesday, July 2 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., is so critical to the summer blood supply. The drive has a long history of producing hundreds of life saving units of blood for more than 100 hospitals served by the American Red Cross in the Alabama and Central Gulf Coast Region.
